Guildford BCRP Champions Business Safety During National Awareness Week
The Guildford Business Crime Reduction Partnership (BCRP), led by Peter Lambert, Town Safety & Venue Liaison Manager for Experience Guildford, continues its commitment to keeping local businesses safe. As part of National BCRP Awareness Week (17th–23rd March 2025), the team has been promoting vital safety initiatives, including #ShopKind, #BeKind, Safe Places Guildford, Real Change Guildford and Ask for Angela.
This weeks activities so far a included a radio drop-off at Urban Outfitters and the delivery of purse bells to Guildford Tourist Information Centre, supported by Experience Guildford Town Rangers. Peter Lambert and Emma White, Town Safety & Venue Liaison Officer have been about been visiting Town centre businesses to discuss security measures. Two new organisations, have now registered as Safe Place scheme members.
This national campaign, led by the National Association of Business Crime Partnerships, highlights how BCRPs work to safeguard businesses, employees, and visitors through intelligence sharing, crime prevention strategies, and collaboration. Guildford BCRP remains dedicated to ensuring the town is a safe and welcoming place for all.
Peter Lambert said “This week is a fantastic way to showcase all the fabulous initiatives and hard work that the Partnership do to keep Guildford Retailers, Hospitality and Leisure Venues safe. The Business Crime Reduction Partnership is going from strength to strength and our members are really engaged in the scheme and this shows in the amount of reporting and intelligence being shared with our Partners at Surrey Police and Guildford Borough Council”.
