Whether you’re an aspiring developer or a passionate gamer (or both!) the g.g festival will have something for everyone! The full line-up of speakers is yet to be announced but our 1st speaker line-up features talented developers from Supermassive Games, Amazon partnered Glowmade and Two Point Studios.

This year, we are excited to unveil a new addition that will elevate the festival to new heights – a dedicated Business-to-Business (B2B) segment; The g.g Developer Summit at the Harbour Hotel. The g.g Dev Summit is designed to empower studio founders and leaders with the essential knowledge and skills they need to succeed. Tickets for the Dev Summit will be obtainable for a small fee.

The Guildford.Games Dev Summit 2025: With much fanfare, we are proud to introduce the Guildford.Games Developer Summit, an event that will run parallel to the Guildford.Games Festival at the nearby Harbour Hotel. This new addition is specifically tailored for studio founders and leaders from Guildford studios and beyond. The g.g Development Summit will focus on a wide range of topics essential for running a successful game studio, including: • Funding and Pitching: Learn the intricacies of securing funding, crafting compelling pitches, and attracting investors. • Business Strategy: Gain insights into effective business planning, team strategies, and scaling operations. • Industry Trends: Stay ahead of the curve with sessions on the latest trends and innovations in the gaming industry. • Soft Skills Development: Enhance leadership, communication, and team management skills.

We are incredibly excited to expand the Guildford.Games Festival with the g.g Developer Summit” said Lauran Carter, Comms Director at Liquid Crimson and Founding Member/Host for Guildford.Games. “Ultimately - our aim is to ensure both young developers and industry leaders can get the most out of g.g events. By moving talks/panels aimed at established developers to the Dev Summit, we can make more room for more talks aimed at gamers/prospective developers at the g.g festival. We hope the Dev Summit will ensure studio founders and leaders are able to access vital information to ensure the longevity of their studios.”

The g.g Dev Summit will be a paid event, with tickets available for £50 for studios within the GU postcode and £95 for devs attending from further afield. (If you are a micro-studio who would benefit from the Dev Summit but feel priced out by the pricing tiers, please drop an email to [email protected] to discuss.) The committee are very keen to welcome as many devs as possible to this exciting new addition to g.g!

The Guildford.Games Festival 2025: g.g festival attendees can expect the same high calibre of speakers they’ve become accustomed to, as we invite video game enthusiasts from all walks of life to experience the excitement and innovation of the Guildford games industry firsthand and look to inspire the next generation of developers. • Inspirational Speakers: Hear from industry leaders and visionaries who are shaping the future of gaming, whether you’re a budding developer or apassionate player! • Knowledge Sharing: Hear from developers from a variety of disciplines and a variety of topics, all focusing on helping you make your way in the games industry. • Portfolio Reviews: Bring your portfolio and book a slot to have it assessed by an industry professional in your discipline! • Networking Opportunities: Connect with other budding developers, industry professionals, and potential collaborators.
