Food For Thought win Experience Guildford Pride Window Competition!

Congratulations to Food For Thought for winning the Experience Guildford Window Competition on the theme: Surrey Pride!

Experience Guildford challenged the businesses in Guildford for the month of September to decorate and dress their window. The theme was Surrey Pride in recognition of Pride being hosted in Guildford for the very first time on 21st September 2024.

Congratulations to the winner of the competition: Food For Thought who were presented with a trophy by Mayor Sallie Barker on Monday 30th September !

Alan, Owner of Food For Thought said: "The inspiration behind the window was based on the six original Pride flag colours, celebrating six decades from the 1970s. Each window features an achievement for that decade. We included drawings of all different types of people from different backgrounds." He added: "We as Food For Thought love to participate and support the events that happen in the town centre. We are happy to have taken part in the Window Competition and thrilled to have won!"

Mayor of Guildford, Sallie Barker said: "I was very impressed with the window that Food For Thought created. There was clearly a lot of thought that went into this and as someone who shops here as a local I am very happy for them!"

Congratulations also goes to Sharps Bedrooms, Bayfields Opticians, Sostrene and Grene for their participation in the competition and for creating brilliant windows!
