Role: Communications and Events Officer
**Salary: **£26,000 per annum
Location: Guildford, Surrey
**Hours: **37.5 hours per week
You will be responsible for: -Feeding into and implementing communication plans that align with the organisation's objectives.
-Writing and editing engaging content for various platforms, including newsletters, social media, and press releases.
-Building and maintaining relationships with local media contacts to promote events and initiatives.
-Organising and executing events, from conception to completion, ensuring all logistics are managed effectively.
-Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to foster relationships and enhance community involvement.
-Ensuring consistent branding and messaging across all communications and events.
-Tracking the effectiveness of communication efforts and events, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
-Implementing effective stewardship plans. Ensure all individuals that interact with halow project across our platforms and events are taken on a positive supporter journey with halow.
-Overseeing event budgets, ensuring cost-effective planning and execution.
Requirements: -Demonstrable experience of working in office administration support roles and working to deadlines.
-Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite and smartphone apps including LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram.
-An excellent standard of verbal and written English with an ability to communicate with people of all abilities.
-An understanding of the Fundraising Code of Practise.
-Enthusiastic, skilled, and confident communicator.
-Aged 18 and above
-Right to work in the UK Please note we are currently unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role.
-Willing to undertake a Basic DBS Check. The initial cost of the DBS application will be paid for by halow.
