Overview
We are seeking a skilled Café Assistant/Barista to oversee the daily operations of our café. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, with a keen eye for detail and exceptional customer service skills.
The successful candidate will be able to deliver quality food and beverages, including tea, coffee, milkshakes and sweet snacks.
They will need to be able to work independently as well as part of a team, take initiative and interact well with customers.
Students are welcome but must be able to commit to a set weekly schedule (2-3 days a week).
Previous experience preferred. Full training given.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate excellent customer service while delivering high-quality food and beverages
Ensure high standards of food safety and cleanliness are maintained in the kitchen and dining areas
Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional manner
Communicate with management and other members of staff to ensure smooth operations of the cafe.
Qualifications
Previous experience within a cafe, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting (preferred)
Barista knowlegde (preferred)
Knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation, and beverage service (preferred)
Excellent communication skills (essential)
Ability to comply with health and safety regulations - full training given (essential)
A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service (essential)
