At Holy Trinity Church in Guildford, Will Todd and David Simpatico's enchanting musical retelling of A Christmas Carol weaves the melodies of traditional Victorian carols and the midwinter chimes of handbells through each episode of Charles Dickens's seasonal ghost story. In a libretto drawn by David Simpatico from the much-loved 1848 novella, we meet Ebenezer Scrooge, the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future, and the family and friends whose kindness Scrooge has hardened his heart against, only to understand by their example the meaning of Christmas.
